This album was originally recorded in August 2000 at Toyland studios in Los Altos, CA, where new friend Kevin Marks invited me to come to California and record a group of ten songs. After sitting on it for a couple years, due to my own idiosyncracies, I eventually met another Kevin - Kevin Laurila - in 2003 who helped me master a final copy. Between 2003 and 2005 it was distributed in a couple different CD-R formats and designs under the title 'Siding' and originally had 9 songs.

I decided to give this album an "official" release with songs I thought best captured the time in my life when I was relearning how to play the guitar, hence the name 'Selections'. There are two relevant songs missing from that time period and album, 'The Puzzle Song', whose lyrics where unable to be recorded back in 2000 and another called 'This Cliff I Sit.' They will eventually show up for free under this recording along with a couple others. I also decided to keep the last version of 'Sidings' artwork - a bigger version of the picture I saw stored away in Wes Hurd's garage.

It's rough in some areas; you can hear punch-in's, voices talking, some other little bits, but I'm still glad to have it out there for good. Hope you enjoy it.
